Special Effects Make-Up
While I was studying Visual Effects and Motion Graphics in Singapore Polytechnic, I assumed that all of my works are going to be made from computers and stuffs till I find out that they had a special effects module which allows me to get my hands on some paint onto humans!

Throughout my years in school, I had the chance to be a part of Halloween Horror Nights, Singapore and I was in charge to make bruises out of cotton wool and latex! Can I show off a little? I was the ONLY one in charge of latex and damn, I love my job there

Soon after, I couldn't get my feelings of love away from special effects make up and then, I decided to serve as an intern in Universal Studios, Singapore

Take a look at my works! I even made a Medusa come to life as one of my special effects project!
Bruises on an Apocalypse Character
So when I was a Make-Up Artist for Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios Singapore, I was in-charge of applying latex to an Apocalypse character. So here's when I first started doing it with latex and cotton wool on my friend's arm (which made me got selected to make that look for an entire month (yay! it was the most best look I enjoyed and learnt!)

Oh so what else? I used my amazing friends and borrowed their handsome faces

After a few tries on my friends, I finally added it onto my lovely scaring actors

Well, that was fun! Here's some extra try-outs that I did using both make-up and 3D transfers straight from Hollywood

Santa's Make Up for Christmas
Of course I had to do my internship at Universal Studios, Singapore because hey, painting on people? Count me in!

So unfortunately, I am not allowed to share or post pictures on what I do on a daily basis as that will violate the company's rules and regulations. So apart from styling wigs and helping performers with their make-up, I'm only able to post a picture of Santa from Christmas as the event is already over and not an ongoing one!

Dealing with Santa's make-up is a little different than your average special effects make-up as I had to create the illusion of freckles and wrinkles on this fine young man. I also had to maintain his prosthetic fake nose imported from the US and style his facial hair, wig and beard!
Medusa (Special Effects Make-Up and Prop)
So for my Special Effects module assignment, us individuals had to pitch a character to bring to life and obviously the geeky side of me presented about Greek mythology which led me to chose my favorite, Medusa. Let me bring you to my progress of making Medusa come to life on my poor little sister that I dragged to model for me
Also, this was a pair project between me and my classmate, Nabila. We did the make-up together and she was the creator of this beautiful crown that my sister had on her head while I made her bow and arrow

Here's the process of my bow and arrow - Made from newspapers, masking tape, Kebab sticks and strings! Bow is hand-painted without reference
